Solución:
En MySQL, simplemente haz MONTH(date)
, YEAR(date)
, etc. En PHP, puede hacer date('g', strtotime($datefromsql))
para obtener, por ejemplo, la hora en formato de 12 horas a partir de la fecha.
Entonces, en su ejemplo anterior, puede hacer
SELECT YEAR(date),
MONTH(date),
DAYOFMONTH(date),
HOUR(date),
MINUTE(date),
SECOND(date)
o en PHP,
$time = strtotime($datefromsql);
